I don't get in here as often as i used to..I retired and now find i have even less time then i did when i was working! I am just going to have to slow down a bit and get back in here time to time..Used to do all the Salmon and Steelhead swaps and kinda miss doing them!!

If it's not to late i would like to join in on this swap.. Had forgotten all about it and don't get in as often as i used to..Salmon and Steelies are my game and they will be the flies i tie for if ok??

I apologize for being late in posting..I have been fishing the Salmon River in NYS for Steelheads..I would like to thank Stabgnids for a great box of flies.. And Vcrider for the extra materials that came along with them..Thank you doing a great job hosting this swap once again..Already looking forward to next year...

Totally agree with you in your assumptions about the Postal Service as i have also had it happen more times then i care to admit..Also when they lose your Flies then you are the one who looks bad for not getting your Flies in on time..So once you find out they are gone then you Re-Tie Flies and try to do so in a Hurry which then in turn hurts the quality of the Fly..But i have also pretty much dropped out of swapping as like so many other Health problems have been a issue.. Can i tie a Fly as good as i could 20 years ago?? The answer would be NO.. Reason being is 20 years ago i had not had Open Heart Surgery..My hands were not all deformed from Gout and Arthritis..Let alone the fact that it is now harder to even keep the hands from shaking so much..I am sure there are many others who feel the same way and i know that there are many yet that will find out in the near future..But does that diminish my desire to tie the best fly i can?? NOT IN ANY WAY... Who am i to judge who has put effort into the flies they have tied?? I just recently lost a very good friend who taught me how to tie and was one of the best tiers i have ever saw and it was sad to watch his quality go down hill..But what he lacked in quality i NEVER once heard him complain or gripe as he was happy just to be able to even still tie!! I am one that also totally dislikes the Invitational Swaps as they, IN MY OPINION, tell everyone else that the flies you tie are not good enough to be in our click.. Fly Tying through the years has had enough problems as being considered Elitist and Snobby that one should do everything they can to disprove that...I now spend the little time when feeling good working with our Wounded Warriors..They don't care what a fly looks like or even if it's tied perfectly..But the smile on thier face when landing that fish for the first time is priceless...
