  1. My FTF is severely compromised. I never could get on to talkflyfishing forum anyway. Sorry to hear about the hackers.
  2. I had very few options as to where to post these questions so bear with me. What happened to the site? Was there a ton of major changes? I'm having a hard time getting anywhere on the site here or at home. Are the changes complete? I can't get my PMs.
  3. Just placed my reservation for the Christmas Box. I've never used their material. How is it?
  4. That's a great looking March Brown. I love fishing the wets during a hatch.
  5. DHise: I'm sure the Hetero-Genus attracts fish. It's got it all....copper wire, pheasant tail, peacock herl and ice dub. I'm going to tie a few up and try 'em for trout. Thanks for sharing your fly pattern. Those pictures of the trout you landed with them are awesome. Bruce
  6. To Croatus: I tried to contact you in the talk forum but it won't allow me access. I was wondering if you have any of those buckles left for sale. I am connecting my Watermark Chest Pack to the Drake Back Pack as you did. PM me with a price and I'll forward yoou the money. Thanks
  7. Great photos. I noticed the name Adventure Photographers on the photos, are you a professional? I've always wanted to visit Oregon, Washington and Alaska. The scenery is outstanding.
  8. Magoo: You know anything about the WaterMark Drake Chest Pack?
  9. I'm feathers5 on my work computer and goosebery on my home computer from where I'm posting this reply. Do you like the Watermark Guidelight Chest Pack? I already have a Watermark Chest Pack I bought from Sierra Trading for $20 and you can't beat it. I like the looks of the Guidelight because it appears to have broader should straps and a larger back pack.
  10. How about mole fur dubbing? I have a whole skin and can't remember why I bought it. What a great idea you have going here. Thanks again!
  11. Hi: what are the general colors and sizes of the grasshoppers in central, pa? i know color isn't of the utmost importance, but i like to get close. thanks
  12. Hi Ray: I just opened the photos on my home computer and they're fine. When I posted the note I was at work. Sorry and Thanks
  13. what do you tie with coyote fur? do you use the hair or underfur?

  15. i agree with steve. there are no new flies, just variations on old patterns. people have been catching fish with fur and feathers for a thousand years since they made hooks out of bones. i would never kid myself into thinking that i've invented something knew. just my opinion.
  16. i was curious, what kind of boxes do you carry your wet flies--the traditional ones like flymphs, etc. do you carry them loose in little compartments like dry flies or like nymphs with the hook in foam. does it matter to get the hackle matted down? i know they get wet anyway but will they assume their original shape?
  17. I always wonder because it always seems as though the bright lines like flourescent green, orange and yellow, aren't as expensive. I think we all know pretty much everything is this hobby is overpriced. I think some of those cheap, bright colored lines will work just as well as the $50, $60 & $70 ones in many cases. One caveat, though, I'm hesitant to buy those cheaper lines because of the color.
  18. I did a search on the subject, and apparently, I've not done it correctly. At any rate I'm getting nothing. I realize this is a much debated topic. I just like to read the opinions.
  19. I figure this has been discussed here before, and I would appreciate a link if possible, but do you think bright green, orange, yellow lines, etc. scare fish when nymphing or fishing dries?
  20. Stroli; I love the avatar.
  21. Stroli: Looks like a great, easy fly to tie. I'm all for simple patterns that catch trout. What is Sparkle Emerger Yarn? Is it just regular antron?

  23. Emilee: I was thrilled to watch the video of you tying flies. You're very good. The flies looked excellent. I think it's so great that kids learn the art because it's something you can do you entire life. You're a cutie now, but wait until you're a teenager and the boys find out you can tie flies, too. You're dad is going to have to pay close attentiioon. LOL! I hope you get to catch some fish on them.
  24. luvinbluegills: i've always thought the stoneflies have a olive cast to them, too. my questions is, what sizes to tie them? also, do cahills have that same olive-ish cast to them on the underside of the body?
  25. Chad: Is that entire priority mail envelope tvek?
