Look tasty. Nice ties!!!! -
Nice. I like the last one a lot and can see how effective it could be fished as you described.

Without beating a dead horse, I agree with starting out with 6/0 and as you progress in tying you will find that other size thread works better for the particular size fly you are tying.

I have a Regal with stainless jaws and never had any issues. I'm a firm believer in spending a little more for better quality. I happened to talk to a few guys at the fly shop and they said that proper hook placement in the jaws is critical to the life of the vice. Not sure how sensitive Regal jaws are, but the instruction manual with my vice had a section covering proper hook placement. For the price I paid for my vice, I will assure you that I'm following their instructions. Like Piker said, use the size hooks intended for the vice.

Awesome fly!!! I enjoy your work. -
I like the Trout Bum Diaries DVDs.

I agree. In fact, I may tie one up just to try it.

Cool idea and those clousers look good too.

I thought about doing this myself. Here is a link that gave me some answers and can possibly get you started. http://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/fly_tyer_special.html
