  8. Hi all, I currently have a Sparrow and Indian Myna problem at home due to the availability of grain we use to feed our chickens. Before I get the air rifle out (legally of course) can anyone tell me what they may have used feathers from these birds in the past for? A pic of the birds below Note: I live in Australia and both these species are introduced and invasive.
  9. I have a small clamp travel vise and a box with tools always in the car. I often sit in the passenger seat of the car (While parked in the car park) and tie a handful of flies over lunch or during a break. I always feel so relaxed when I return to the office with the anticipation of the weekend's fish Cheers VB1971
  10. Definitely will tie it. Cheers Thanks! Give it a try. Its a good pattern that catches well in fast/deep water. I caught 5 fish on it this morning in just an hour or so once I found a good drift. Well ok, I caught 4. I was fishing with 6x tippet and I hooked a 20+ inch trout down stream with some fast moving water. I wasn't sure enough on my feet to run after it and well, he snapped me off. I probably should have stepped up to 4x, but I threw it on after fishing some nymphs and I was too lazy to re-tie tippet. Oh well. It still was a fun day!
  11. Hi Retro fishing lakes. We have had good rains and levels are rising. Usually fish the edges both sight and blind casting for Rainbows typically (early season) I usually carry a large selection of different coloured flies both traditional wets and weighted and unweighted fuzzle and wooly buggers Cheers
