  1. Does it take a long time to get mail to Virginia?
  2. Could it be that the bird got his attitude from guys following him around picking feathers?
  3. I owe you a set, which will go into the mail this afternoon... I understand your delima, we've been getting number one son into Va. Tech, and I haven't had a moment to myself. [edit] Now, just to show you how nuts it's getting, I had 11 flies, when the 'magic number' is clearly 14... Hopefully "BG74" can send me names and addys and I'll send flies to those who are short changed... Sorry guys, of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most....
  4. Hey! If it keeps the site going strong, we're ALL winners!! Congrats to all, and THANKS TO WILL !!!
  5. Man, I used one of those back in the 80's, but it killed my knees!!
  6. Man, I'm having a terrible time. I just haven't gotten to the vice at all... BUT! My son has lots of time on his hands, so he's finishing up a dozen chernobyl ants for me today. I'll have'm in the mail Saturday afternoon. 8/11 OK, they didn't make it into the mail, but I'll get them to you, I promise! I never knew getting a kid ready to move into college was such a pain in the neck...

    My flies

They look like fish catchers to me!!
  8. I appreciate the extra days, I didn't get a chance to finish up this weekend. I'll be there shortly!! Thanks guys!
  9. Did you get the beads for this pattern, or use the glue gun method?
  10. Yeah, Duffin... I went looking for those boxes and I couldn't find'em... I really would have liked those! They look real nice! Good Job!!
  11. I'm 21!!! (for the 27th time!
  12. When I get'm, I can shoot the pictures, unless someone else gets to it first. I should have my bugs in the mail this weekend!! I hope they're worthy!
  13. MAN! I go away for a couple of days and everything changes!!! Sorry to hear about your misfortune, Will. Take good care of yourself, and I'm praying for your speedy and full recovery... Michael aka PoPnBuG
  14. This is a great site... really... I have a list of 12 or 14 different forums that I look at every day. At the top are the ones I particularly like. This forum is right below the site for which I'm the web guy, so that makes FlyTyingForum NUMBER 1. A great webmaster, lots of great participants, and lots of good, fun chatter! To quote a popular commercial... "I love you guys" A tip of the rod to Will !!
  15. Well, I'm impressed. I've always wanted to try that wing-thing, but haven't quite gotten that far. Given this is an early attempt, it looks good to me, so far... Keep practicing, maybe I'll get to show you one of mine some time... Let's see, where did I put those salmon hooks...
  16. So we're on, right? Do you still want 14 bugs? (Since mine are very small, I may (depending on time) tie two per swapper.) Just checking!
  17. Uh... Will... I'm a little concerned with the "Brad Pitt" thing...
  18. B-Buster, I'd love to get my hands on one of those! (or the pattern) That's a killer looking bug!!
  19. Got it Philly! That's an interesting tie, for sure.... which means I gotta try it!!! Thanks
  20. Sounds interesting... Just what I need, another project!!!
  21. Yep! Count me in. The fly is a kind of "buzzer", a sort of mosquito larva/nymph sort of thing. It's small, but it's been a killer pattern for me. The challenge is letting it sink long enough down through the dinks to get down to the bulls!
  22. Are you looking for topwater specifically, or just any bluegill pattern? I've got a neat pattern, it's been deadly, but it's rather simple. I think I'd like to play...
  23. Hey Philly, do you have any pictures of the fly you describe? Sounds interesting, but I'm a 'visual sort of guy' !! Thx
  24. Hey Will!!! I'll take 3! PayPal has already been done!

    Zoo Cougar

There's another Will here in Virginia and Maryland that loves that Zoo Cougar, and he takes some mighty fine smallies and trout. He likes all kinds of LARGE streamers for LARGE fish!! He gave a great talk at the FF show in Feb here in Virginia... (no, I don't get paid for the endorsement either... wish I did!!) You can take a look at his site: http://www.easterntrophies.com Hmmmmmm... I thought he had the Zoo on the site, but it's not there now.. he also like the 'Yellow Butt Monkey', for the same reasons!!
