a good dubbing twister is a bent paper clip. not much simpler than that and saves a bunch of money. the dubbing brush makers are not really necessary unless youre gonna be twisting mass quantities of brushes. dubbing loops are simple to do right on the hook if youre not doing mass production.

I am not sure of the brand I used but it too bled onto the fly. A little dye doesnt effect the fly line from doing its job.

keep the 2 adjustable lamps but replace the incandescent bulbs with full spectrum bulbs there is no need to make or even buy a "photo studio light box" for photographing flies (although it is your option) a good background helps the paper holder typist use can also be used. use different colors of paper as the background juts my opinion

9 if you are pointing the camera at yourself, PLEASE wear a shirt without any kind of graphics. a plain old gray tshirt works great! viewers do not want to be distracted by logo, witty sayings or a graphic of your cat on your shirt. or the silly apron shown below

not everybody has the same musical tastes. i guess that's why there's a mute button and i use ALL the time 2 of the best tyers on the web today (davie mcphail and hans weilenmann) seem to get by without any music.

book clamp (paper clip will also work) your favorite colored paper clamp the paper to the book cover and it makes a fly tying and photography background

i 100% agree with that answer. in my case, i actually threw away the pivoting magnifying class on my daylight brand lamp. too big and always in the way.

from looking at rockworms fotos, heres a little something i did at work (dont tell my boss. she thinks i'm working on submarine drawings) the size is strictly up to you as is how much stuff you want to attach to your box. you can make it as wide, as high and as deep as you want. you can store thread spools on top as i did or not the back is open for access to wire spools and for additional storage there is some storage in front for cement bottles my intent is to use good old cup hooks to hand up scissors and hackle pliers. you can add standard cabinet drawer pulls for lifting and carrying use YOUR IMAGINATION and draw something on a sheet of paper. i dont think dimensions or a dimensioned drawing is really needed. i just looked at the fotos and came up with something that would suit ME.

this is just a guess from looking at the foto. looks pretty simple to tie black biot tail black peacock herl or ostrich rib black lace body black pheasant tail wing case black dubbed thorax or peacock herl black hackle legs wound thru the thorax black biot wing buds (or whatever they are in the foto) just apply the materials in order of the recipe

there is absolutely no requirement to add any wraps of lead when using a bead for weight
