Trouttramp 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2022 A new friend recommended purple Chernobyl flys for a particular creek in Montana. So I tied a few. feel free to critique, as these aren’t really in my wheelhouse so to speak. I followed a popular YouTube tier’s recipe. The wing looks “thick” to me. niveker 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2022 Nice fly and pics. I don't tie these, but your wings don't appear overly thick. They can always be trimmed on the river if not performing the way you think they should. Much easier than adding wing material on while on the water. utyer 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2022 It is well enough tied, but this is a "Chubby Chernobyl." The Chernobyl has no wings at all. NO MATTER what, If the fish eat it is a good pattern if not then find one they will eat.
