MuskyFlyGuy 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2023 My wife and I floated a section on the Nam today with guide Erik Huber. We have fished with him for 13 years and really enjoy his company. The river was quite low and very clear. It made for difficult fishing. We saw a lot of wildlife: bald Eagle, mergansers, several different species of suckers (the redhorse suckers were all over and some were quite large), 4 Muskies, 4 deer (1 let us float by her as she ate leaves off a tree that had fallen in the river, and more sturgeon than we could count. One hole had a dozen very large ones, with the largest about six feet and a width of 18-24 inches. I will post some scenery pictures and a picture of a bass with a Dancin’ Ricky in its mouth. Any decent bass was buried in the wood. Five hours of driving and eight hours of fishing makes for a long day.
niveker 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2023 Nice report MFG. Both the smallie and river look nice and plump.
Steeldrifter 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2023 Low & clear always is rough no matter what river it is, but sounds like you still managed a good time and got a nice one as well.
