Hatches Magazine: January 2006 Issue!

Recommended Posts

Guest

It has been a long time since the premiere issue but I am excited to announce that we are starting the year off with a brand new issue of Hatches Magazine. This issue is filled with sixteen articles covering a broad range of topics and we hope you enjoy what we have put together. I would like to thank all the authors who took the time to contribute an article, we could not have done this without you.

It is our goal for 2006 to bring you a new issue every month. Obviously this goal is only going to be reached if we continue to get articles to fill each issue. This goal is going to be hard to accomplish and many printed magazines cannot achieve an issue every month. We need everyone’s support by sitting down and writing something for the magazine. If you are interested in writing for us contact Steve(steeldrifter).

Sean,

The format that you see now is the only reason why we brought Hatches back at all. Creating the dowloadable version took 10X more work and it was just too big of a project for us to handle. This way is not as "cool" but we can have the same great articles and allows us to come out with issues more frequently.

Hey Will,

Maybe some guys will like it if you pinned a "Hatches Archives" in the Fly Tyers Bench section so they can always go back for referrence. Just an idea.

sean,

If you have a computer with active desktop you can download the site and up to how ever many links deep you would like to keep.

There are other things you can do as well to save the page to read later if you like.

Keep in mind that the pages probably have a © so I'm not sure what Will and the others think of this but there are ways to save the pages for later viewing.

Being a Old Cold Weather Angler, myself. I saw this article and thought I should check it out.

I was very Happy how it was presented and the knowledge that went into it. I especially liked the part about not wearing Jeans. A lot of people out there does not know that Cotton Kills when it comes to Cold Weather.

I am looking forward to reading the rest of the Articles.

Keep up the Good Work and Stay Warm.

Richard

There is wonderful material in this online magazine. Congratulations for putting it together.

Is it possible to find material from a past issue? I notice that the rod building article is Part 2. I would like to go back and see what is in Part 1.

Did anyone save a copy of Part 1?

I just wanted to say thanks for the great support that we have received in the past few weeks. I don't think we anticipated a response of this magnitude and this 2nd issue of Hatches has been a great success.

I was excited to see that as of this morning we have received over 20,000 article views and we are not even half way through this month. That is impressive!!! :headbang:

Thanks to everyone who has helped us promote Hatches, I have seen alot of links around the web which has really helped spread the word. Hatches couldn't exist without our authors. We have received alot of emails from people expressing interest in writing for us. I believe as of right now we have a full schedule for articles going through April. Hatches will only continue to exist with those willing to write for us and the interest that we have received so far is encouraging.

Thanks again to everyone. The rally behind Hatches has inspired us to bring everyone a great mag, every month. We are currently in production for the February issue, you will not be disappointed. ;)
