Dragonfly Nymphs

Recommended Posts

I've got an adult dragon fly pattern that takes about 10-15 minutes to tie. I use it for both damsels and dragons. I've got to tie a couple up anyway so when I get them done I'll post pictures and tying instructions.

Awesome. I'll be eager to see that, too.

Here's the one I tie up. This one's in blue. Not the best picture.

I was reading OLB's instructions for his. Not a whole lot of difference in the tying style. One difference is I wrap my thread around the needle as I build the tail segments. Though I sometimes use the extra foam from the tail for the body, I've been using a separate piece in my more recent ties. The eyes are a small black foam cylinder. The wings aren't split, and are Rainbow Mirror Image and the hook is a Mustad 3777.

It's tie with craft foam, so I treat it with Water Shed.
