Matt Inman 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2007 I honestly don't have any opinions to offer except that I think you should send all of those to me because they are amazing, especially the nymphs. WOW!

deeky 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2007 When I was focussing on foam, I messed around with weaving strips of it - not something you see much of. Take a look in 'my patterns' for a couple of examples. Deeky
VERN-O 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2007 try this http://picasaweb.google.com/opaxff/TomasWhitehouse or www.virtual-nymph.com (steve thornton....sells nymph skin, etc, and his books Listen to The River are excellent)
Jeff Skory 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2007 Bazz, Great flies! The nymphs are great but I really love the dragonfly. Can you give a brief summary of the technique? Do you use a cone shaped piece of foam for the body to get the taper and then pinch it off at intervals with thread? Nice work, Jeff
Bass 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2007 Thanx guys! The dragonfly is very simple (hope i can get up a video step by step on my site soon) For the body you cut out a shape like this >< the middle is thinn and gets wider towards the ends. Put them together and you have a tapered form I managed to get some inspiration after all ^^ Heres the next foamfly.

Graham 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2007 Hey Bass, I love your flies!!! Here's a fun fly to try, made entirely of strips of thin foam, the legs are foam tyed over 0.10 wire... I used white foam and colored it with markers, including super fine tipped micron markers...
