"Uffes killer" drake

As always an excellent fly my friend, I have not seen that winging method for years and I love it, it cocks the fly well and looks great from below the waterline.

Good Day,

Indeed a great tie as usualy Uffe! I also had trouble with step by step not coming up. What hook are you using?

Beautiful fly, as always. The step by step is working fine. Thanks for posting. I am thinking that there are some other feathers (died mallard flanks pheasants,) that would create different hatch matching flies from this one pattern. The body feather and tail don't appear to be too critical for floating the fly. Going to try some different ones this weekend.

Thank you utyer! And you are absolutly right, just by adapting different feathers you will be able to imitate different species. As long as you keep the hackle underneath the feather it won't affect any floating ability.
