MfishP 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2008 I'm looking at old fishing magazines and saw a pattern that uses rubber legs material to take the place of biots.Since i have nothing but trouble tying biots on, i was wondering how many people substitute this kind of material for their patterns that call for biots-such as tails and antenna? oatka 0 Report post Posted March 12, 2008 It's done all the time! I guess the fish don't really care either! Here's some flies that Dale showed me last week, and he's got rubber legs all over the place, and he claims they catch fish!

streamcaddis 0 Report post Posted March 12, 2008 I put rubber legs on woolly buggers, aunts, elk hair caddis. To me they make a good splash thru the water, kinda gets the fishes attention. I have fished trout , bass and bluegills with them. So go for it and see what happens. :yahoo:

snboggs 0 Report post Posted March 12, 2008 I love rubber leg material. In fact, I just got what seems like a lifetime supply of it eBay last week. Those flies look great with the rubber legs and I've seen a copper john with rubber legs. I really like it. So yeah... I love the stuff. Go for it!
