Student4evr 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2008 As bate, this is the one we love to hate: however the trout only have one opinion...EAT IT! I have only fished the lakes for a couple of years and I am starting to discover one of the go to patterns is a leech. This year I have repeatedly had great success when I hung on a leech and fished it deep!! So it's time to drag out those suckers and send them to a swap. I will be tying a pattern from a guy I go fishing with a lot over the last couple of years. He started fly tying when he was 8. We just celebrated his 70th birthday!! I hope I can learn just what he, Ed Ruckey, has forgotten. My tying has really benefited from his influence. I have fished his blond leech on a bunch of lakes and it really does the job. I hope it will work for you as well Limited to the first 12 tiers and me so tie a dozen and lets see what happens. Wellman 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2008 I would love to join but shipping would be pricey from Northern Manitoba (Canada) and I know some deadly still water leeches.
professori 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2008 I would love to join but shipping would be pricey from Northern Manitoba (Canada) and I know some deadly still water leeches. It's $1.92 (I live in BC) as long as you send it as a letter (can't be more than about 1" thick.) Oh yeah, I'm in with a beadhead mohair micro leech. Thanks for hosting Frank.
