Hackle: Whiting Coq de Leon cock neck hackle, medium dun

Rib: fine copper wire, abdomen only

Tail: Whiting Coq de Leon cock neck hackle barbs, medium dun

Abdomen: Grey heron, single barb

Thorax: Angora goat, dark brown

no scale just tied on a size 4 mustad salmon, did one today all silver balls(beads) and tinsel..I'll post a pic later..

I recently tied up a set of flies for a small fly swap I had entered :devil:

Thread: Benecchi 12/0, light grey

Abdomen: SLF Minky Dubbing #12 Mayfly

Wing buds: Pheasant tail fiber, one fiber, doubled, on each side

Thorax: Argentinean hare, olive

 

The coin, btw, is a pre-Euro Dutch 10 cent one - diameter a bit under 1/2". It was the smallest coin I had lying around <_<
