breambuster 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2009 THIS SWAP IS NOW FULL! It's time for another Bluegill Swap! This one is for any nymph pattern you might choose as long as it is for Bluegills and is a lake/pond type nymph. For instance, mayflies, chronomids, damselflies, dragonflies, etc, are all good. Stonefly nymphs are out because they inhabit moving water, ie, streams, creeks, rivers. I would like to ask, however, that you send a copy of your material list with the materials listed in the ORDER in which you tie them in. For instance, you would first list the style and size of your hook, bead head if they are a part of the pattern, then the thread, eyes if called for, tail material, ribbing (if there is any) body material, rubber legs (if the pattern calls for them) hackle, etc. You can either post your material list to the website, PM it to me, or include it with the toe tag. I will make pictures of all the flies in a separate thread and post the materials lists with each picture. That way, if someone ties up a pattern that you especially like, you will have the materials list and an idea of how to duplicate that pattern. Please remember that I have moved recently and so any address that you have for me that is older than 6 months is no longer valid. PM me when you are ready to send in your flies and I will PM you back with my Addy. The pattern I will be tying will be the hands-down most effective bluegill fly I have ever found for fishing Southern stillwaters, the damselfly nymph. 1. Breambuster - Damselfly Nymph - Complete 2.
