gpd4 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2010 I've never seen the ripple foam any bigger than a 'boat patch' and that's like 8x11 or so. If you find a source for it, please let us know.
flytire 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2010 the biggest is 8 1/2 x 14 1/2 http://www.madriveroutfitters.com/pc-2490-...patch-foam.aspx you should contact millstream directly to see if they will sell larger sizes if all your gonna do is tack it to a wall and stab flies into it, then get a yoga matt http://www.foamorder.com/closedcell.html
gpd4 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2010 Excellent suggestion...but, I just tried it... On 5/4/10 10:49 AM, "George P. Dorris" wrote: Good morning, I was wondering if you would consider selling a larger piece of your ripple foam – or nubby tack, for that matter… I’m looking for a piece about 3’ x 3’ to store flies over my bench. Thank you, G.P. Dorris, IV Dear Mr. Dorris: Our ripple foam is a molded foam as opposed to a cut foam – the raw molded sheets are only 13”x15”, so I’m afraid I can’t help you. I do have 3/16” thick flat foam that is 48” wide. Nubby Tack is a proprietary product; it is only sold as a liner in our Mill Stream boxes – and the raw sheets are only 10”x 10” when they are molded. Sorry we can’t be of assistance. --- Karen McGrath Limited Seasons / Mill Stream 60 Buckley Circle Manchester, NH 03109 Ph 603-647-4003 Fax 603-647-8097 She got back to me within about 15 minutes, too...so I'll be looking for their products to buy. ChuckingFluff 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2010 I like the yoga matt suggestion. I use a giant foam pool noodle from walmart. Cheap and hold a whole lot of flies.
Robert M 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2010 Why not get several of the larger pieces and put them up like tiles? You may want to check and see if there is a local foam shop in a city near you they will do custom work for you and might be able to make what you want. iaflyfisher 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2010 Another suggestion might be to find foam rubber mattress cover. Now THAT would cover a wall. I am sure there are various thicknesses of it and if it doesn't work you will have a great yoga pad! iaflyfisher
