patrick carroll 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2010 I realize its holiday time, but if there is any interest, I would be more than willing to host a gurgler swap. Gurglers have done well for me in this neck of the woods in californee, any color combination seems to satisfy the bass and gills appetite. The normal fly tying rules would apply, self addressed envelopes, tag each fly and keep the tags small. Lets set the target date for the flies to be at my doorsteps no later than February 15,2011. Hopefully there are at least 15 " gurler fanatics" , like me, willing to put their talents on display. It ain't fair causing this much havoc in the life of the gills and bass, but such is life for the gurler "way of life." lets make this a fun swap. have a good one, pat carroll 1. pat carroll - california

TheYiman 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2010 1st post on here! And I am in!!! I was hoping to find a swap for warmwater fish on here. So count me in. Don't know exactly what kind of Gurgler I'm going to do.
O2fsh 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2010 I'm in! First swap and not sure which gurgler I'll tie. You prefer a hook size or, is it dealer's choice? I use gurglers in saltwater, so that's what I'll tie. Mike

patrick carroll 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2010 its great hearing from you " gurgler people". I don't have any problems with hook size. I first used size 8 hooks for my gurglers, then decided to try a larger hook, tried a size 4 hook. the first three casts netted me two nice bass and a nice size gill, needless to say I am partial to the larger hooks. It will be great having a good variety of gurglers from different areas , anxious to see what is in store. 1. pat carroll - california 2. mr.vegas - nevada 3. foambug 4. the yman - colorado 5. o2fish welcome aboard, have a good one pat carroll

O2fsh 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2010 I am going to tie some version of the gurgler in a marine size.... possibly 1-1/0. Sound off with a color preference! Most requests wins. No requests= white Mike
