roll cast 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2011 Kate Mc Laren Materials Hook Wet fly 8- 18 Thread Black Tail Golden Pheasant Crest Body Traditional is black seals fur but I have used a mix of seals and antron Hackle Black Cock palmered Rib Silver oval Head hackle Brown Hen Run thread on and go to down to above the barb Catch in a Crest feather and tie it n the length of the body. Tie in silver oval on the way back to the tail Dub on the body Rough up the body with some Velcro I like how the antron gives a nice scruffy yet thin body. Catch in a black cock hackle Palmer it down the body and rib up with oval tinsel. Tie in a brown hen hackle Take 2-3 turn of hackle dependant on how you want the fly to look. I like this to be a good bushy for stripping during a sedge hatch. Then whip finish and varnish the head. Job done Hope you enjoy AL
