February Flies from the Vise

Made a 4 eyed beast intruder type, this surely will wake them up, really looking forward to seeing how my wings and jc go in the flow, should be a winner and sink like a champ being sparse. Kinda Dee style intruder *evil laugh*...Hard to get a proper image.

Hey Chef, what is the total length on that huge musky fly pattern? Love the salty stuff in the 'crazy people' section of this forum. Just for that i am going to post my most boring flies i have tied this year, always gotta have more clousers! The rubber tail jig of the fly fishers size 6 gamakatsu SL11-3H.

Jam that musky fly is over 13". Its 6/0 rear hook, big game shank, then 8/0 Gamakatsu octopus hook. Its also tied Blane Chocklett style. Here is a better picture of what they look like..he did it way better then I, I am still trying to figure it out.

NO this is not ME (sadly), MY FISH, or MY FLY. Its just a google image I grabbed of the Chocklett fly!!

Hey Chef, that is bitchin'! 13 inches you say! Bigger than a vinyl record...

Fly is kinda constructed prop style which has gotta cut down on bulk and make it easier to cast it appears.

Crackleback ... NICE stackin' and packin' on that frog!!! I have GOT to get me a Fugly Packer.

Chefben ... 13 inches ??? There's only a few of us who know just how long that is !!!

FlyFishin'Jam ... I really like that "semi-clouser" with the palmered hackle instead of buck tail.

Two types of flies that I have never or rarely ever done before are spun deer hair bugs, and the painted foam poppers. Never needed them before when I lived and fished in Trout Country. Now that I live in fishing capital I figure I better brush up on my poppers and hair bugs.

Here are my first few of each.

Thanks for sharing, Jam; that's a great looking pattern and just screams fishy!
