Mudskimmer 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2014 Those look like winners. I wish I could tie in those body fibers that neatly. I dont have that skill down yet. Nice job.
xXMadFireXx 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2014 Took me a while to tie that little crab on the bottom...
agn54 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2014 Beautiful crabs. For the bottom one you could also use rabbit strips for the tails like the freshwater guys do on crawfish. It would make the fly heavier though. These things look like redfish candy
Panama Red 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2014 Killer flies. If you don't catch fish, it's because there aren't any around.
xXMadFireXx 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2014 Agn here's the rabbit strip crab claws you were talking about ... And a little bait fish...
agn54 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2014 Awesome stuff. Those rabbit strips ail really give it movement, especially when you need to let it sit still while a red sniffs at it
ditz2 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2014 I like to use red fox squirrel zonkers for crawdad claws. They would work great for crab claws as well and are lighter to cast. They are more narrow than rabbit zonkers and the hair is shorter. They don't pick up and hold near as much water. Just a thought as an alternative. Nice flies posted here.
