I worked at Fish Tech with Mickey Anderson when he was developing that fly, and it was interesting to get his take on things. It's now an Umpqua pattern called the UV Juan. It was a fun tie. The worm brown one is a must. Also tie them on a size 1 gammy hook too... Mickey pretty much uses cinnamon UV ice dub on all of the colors he does. Have no idea if they make any difference or last past one fish Are those air bubbles ... or solid bubbles of the epoxy/UV stuff? If those are air bubbles, I am impressed. With the light reflections that would create, I believe they'll make a big difference on fish reactions.
eide 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2014 Some parachutes on TMC100BL #16. Normally I tie up with a white wingpost, but today I ended up with orange polypropylene: http://dryfly.me/2014/09/parachutes-with-orange-wing/

mikechell 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2014 Yeah ... what's weird to me is how anyone could like kids. When I say "kids", I do mean babies, toddlers ... anything under about 10 years of age. Above 10, if they have learned to be respectful and are not spoiled brats, they can be okay.
