Steeldrifter 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2014 This is a rod I built for a friend out West whom I know lives on a bit of a tight budget these days now that he's retired. I know he likes glass rods so I decided to build him this as a Christmas gift to give him something to look forward too this Christmas.

the.atmos 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2014 In all seriousness, that is one of the most beautiful rods I've ever seen; those colors and the finish are very elegant! I'd be struck if a friend of mine did something like this for me.

RoyalRenegade 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2015 I think fiberglass is sometimes better than graphite. I was fishing on the Yellowstone River in the park one time using an 8 1/2 6wt sage graphite rod. I went to the car and got my Fenwick 6 foot fiberglass 5wt and was landing fish quicker than with the graphite rod. Struth!
