Piker20 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2015 Mike- haven't noticed whiskers lying about but keep thinking they'll be great for salmon flies to use as shrimp feelers. What age is your cat that drops them. Mines just one yr now.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2015 As far as I know, cat whiskers are shed and replaced naturally. I don't know the mechanism, but a cats whiskers are only a certain length. Basically, if the whiskers fit through, so does the rest of the cat ... it's how a cat knows what spaces it can pass through. They fall out when they get to the maximum length, like our eyelashes. The main thing is to notice them before they get vacuumed up. I've got three cats, and I still only find one or so each week. Good luck.

Li'lDave 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2015 Some flies to fish on the weekend. 2/0 and #2 clouser minnows... I've put weedguards on the #2's.... And I've been shown some cool new techniques for crabs and shrimp that I'm trying to perfect... I've a ways to go (especially with the shrimp) but am looking forward to testing them out Saturday

Thanks Add, I really appreciate the compliment, this was my first attempt at a hairwing streamer. Im going to use this design in a classic streamer swap. I used Sally Hansens, Hard as Nails for the head. I had my wife pick it up for me at Walmart ( I think it was 2.00). I personally like it better than head cement. ( my head cement always got too thick before I used it all).
