Nice fly. Looks awesome wet. The one in your hand looks alive and chewy!

I was playing with my Petitjean Magic Tool and some Antron yarn and this is what came out of it. I think it has potential - maybe not in this color, but the look of it ...

The Bloody Mary with a twist of orange
The original pattern designed by Max Christensen in 1956 ....it has the advantage of being able to be fished wet or dry .

KIMO - is the hair in your emerger.... woodchuck?? .... sure looks like elk - light color - black/dark tips. Are the 'gills' ostrich - 'pots weave' or how applied??

Oh, and a very nice looking tie ....again!

BCT

BCT,

It is Elk, CDC and wooduck.

No Potter's weave on the gills, just partially stripped ostrich herl.

Funny that you caught that! That is the interesting part of that tie.

Lots of rubber & silicone not showing in the pic with Crystal flash/Flashabou.

These are what I toss in Lilly Pad fields and weed matts....the possibilities are up to you & your imagination.

Got my last group of bass flies tied. Season starts in about a month. Eastern Fly has inspired me to try some articulateds.
