Looks like a great day to go fishing to me. Bad weather limits the number of other people on the river, fish aren't as spooky, bug selection is limited. My kind of day!!! Lesg 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2019 2 feet still on the ground here. 1 1/2 inches of fresh snow this morning. A small blizzard for about a half an hour this afternoon. The arctic might be melting but it's not reaching here yet. Oh, I forgot to mention the 30" of ice still on the lakes.

CasualAngler 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2019 Snowpack level 156% of normal way up high. That'll make lots of water for the downstreamers, but be high & dirty in the mountains for a month or so once the melt starts, especially on the Upper Colorado. vicente 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2019 I'm afraid of us getting a big warm late rain on the sierras I wreaks havoc when you get 4 inches of rain on a 12 ft deep snow pack not to mention we lose that late water we need in the summer.
