EDIT: 3-5 capes, apparently. Sorry, misunderstood you. It's pretty hard to follow conversations on any forum when there are several conversations going on at once. It's easier if you quote the guy you are talking to or refer to the post that you are asking about.

petelangevin 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2020 S-boi what is the dubbing material on the bomber?
samsonboi 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2020 11 hours ago, petelangevin said: S-boi what is the dubbing material on the bomber? Usually orange possum. I didn't want to waste my original Betters-dyed possum or even just my possum dubbing that's mixed to match it on a fly with the body covered with hackle, so I used cinnamon dubbing with some copper dubbing mixed in. The possum dubbing is strictly for flies that have the body exposed.
petelangevin 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2020 Makes sense to me, Keep frans dubbing as an example for when you begin to dye your own.
samsonboi 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2020 Yeah. I tied up a couple "keeper" flies with it, but the rest I'm going to keep.
