flytire 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2019 UV Ashers Hook - Dry fly Tail - Grizzly hackle fibers (optional) Hackle - Grizzly or your choice of color Body - Thread, tinsel etc. Your choice of color UV Resin - Your choice of brand Apply a coat of uv resin to the thread or tinsel body and wrap the hackle into the wet resin. Cure resin with your uv flashlight. Invented by Jack Howarth of Colorado Springs, the original pattern was tied tailless, with black thread and orange floss. This fly is the "lake fly" at Rainbow Lake, just west, up Cottonwood pass from Buena Vista Colorado. They always recommended it at the office/souvenir shop. Ah! the memories! Good ol Amber Asher.
