I get the same error. What's up with the photo gallery. I thought I was looking at the tying desks in there a few days ago.

My First Copper Johns and First Flies of Any Kind Using Epoxy
hardtimes replied to TheFlyBum's topic in Beginner's Corner
Great looking flies! Good job for your first time with epoxy. -
Nice one! I love catching larger fish on light rods. I usally use a 4wt, but have caught smallmouth on a 2wt. It really livens things up.
-
Nice and simple, I like it. I am going to tie up a bunch. Thanks!

SMB is my favorite target species with panfish a close second. Now with that said, I will take what ever bites and have fun with it.

Great looking Cicadas. Have you had a chance to try the mylar wrapping paper for the wings? I think it is a great idea, just curious how it worked out.
-
Do you have a pattern of the Bumble Bee? Congrats on the 17 incher. Where in MD are you located?

I agree 100% about trying them out for your self. It also depends on what you will be tying. I started out with a cheap kit with the vise included. That vise was horrible. Once I knew I would stick with tying I saved the money and bought a Dyna-King Barracuda. I really love my barracuda. Some hate them. They are on the large side but I am usally tying larger flies for smallmouth and such.

Thanks for the replies guys. I will be looking to tie some leech and hellgrammite patterns. Any of you have any patterns posted?

Whats your go-to fly for small mouths from June to October? I am fishing the Shenandoah around the eastern panhandle of WV. I am currently using Clousers and they work pretty good. Just curious to see what others use. Ray

Good going on the trout! We have some big creek chubs around here.

I am currently using a c clamp, but my next one will have a pedastal. I like the idea of using the pedastal where ever I feel like it.

Nice tie looks like it will be a producer. I have used one vary similar for years, but I am liking this one more.
