  1. Your animal rights activist point of view is a pretty good idea. Although coming from fly tiers it would make us hypocrites. :coffee:
  2. Oh i dont have any ants, Can i send uncles??? Sorry couldnt resist :hyst:
  3. If i had to guess, which i will, I would say perhaps a March brown.
  4. I would check out Troutnut.com
  5. Im In :yahoo: ... TBD :kicking: .. So many patterns to choose from hmmmmmm :coffee: I love ant flies. One of my fondest fishing moments was with a black fur body ant. I cast, it landed perfectly on a leaf floating down stream(by accident of coarse) I left it on there because it was heading into a trouts lane. Just as it neared the trout, i started to slowly pull the ant off, as it got to the edge of the leaf, the leaf entered the trouts window. The trout rose and took the ant off of the leaf! It was pretty darn cool. It was nice 14" wild brown.
  6. Thank you both. Cant wait to see what everyone ties. . They should be in the mail tomorrow. I will let you know when they are in the hands of the postman. :coffee:
  7. Brian, I love uv resins. I use them often. I am not bashing your product. I have used your product. It does what you say it does. :clapping: You need to relax. Calm down there buddy. I am only a educated consumer, and my apologies for attempting to educate other consumers on this form to help them save some money, in there addiction known as fly tying. Some have lots of money and wont care about this thread one bit. While others can barely scrap together money to get thread. Dont you think that Dan Paradis , god rest his soul, didnt go through all B.S. of starting a business. I dont bash sponsors on here. I merely give MY opinion of the product. Good or Bad. You need to realize that you will always run into negatives. You dont see James on here talking about stockard, You also dont see Norm on here, going ballistic when everyone talking about regal or hmh. You dont think these companies are or were once family businesses? Bottom line. You have a good product. Its just a little over priced compared to your competition. This isnt a big deal, Some people sell a bottle of water for a dollar, others will sell it for 5 dollars. No hard feeling Brian. I wish you, your family, and your business all the best. Tight Ties Johnny U.
  8. Flies are done , can i get an addy please. Twelve of these guys will be on there way.
  9. Got my flies today, Great tying everyone. Thanks for hosting flyman.
  10. I have the Wasatch vest. I love it. Its a great vest for exploration type fishing trips. You can carry everything but the kitchen sink. The wild horses as you know has the larger back pack. This would be better if you want to carry your waders, or a sleeping bag. With fish pond your getting what you pay for. There products will last you a life time. Excellent products.
  11. Is ccg giving out fly boxes too? :hyst:
  12. Yup Indians had feathers in there hair all the time, not just native American ones either.
  13. Sweet tie. I like the sparseness of it. The body of the fly is done beautifully.
  14. Pssh forget chickens for fly tying. Raise them for hair extensions :pimp: !
  15. Thanks, I am aware of what this thread is all about.
  16. Thank you lykos, and nj, It has been a great day. :clapping: :ban:
  17. MMMM spam and cheese :drunk:
  18. Sorry for the change. I figured i would let some one else tie it. Around here they start off at 16s to 18s, then go to 18s-22s. Hare fur floats great. it absorbs floatant. . Im not from Utah.
  19. Flies are in the mail on there way. I mailed them today. Thanks for hosting.
  20. I have used all 3. I must say that the loon by far is a better buy. It does all that the competitors do and for a heck of a lot less cost. There's plenty of hype around the uv resin products. I wouldn't be surprised if bug bond or ccg, is just loon market under a different name. The only difference between them is consistency out of the bottle. But none are a problem for fly tying.
  21. I think its a good idea, you could then sell the bottles for about 17 dollars. :hyst:
