  5. Very neat idea!!! I like it!!. My one concern is i wonder what the chances of the flared deer hair over the front breaking??? it looks brittle and i wonder about the bit extending past the cup?? Does it seem like it may be a problem???? Mike
  6. Looks good to me! I have been tying up a bunch of EHC style flies lately myself. I dunno if it's just me but man! it's amazing how much trouble a simple pattern can give ya!!! lol!!!! Mike
  7. Dont own and most likely will never own an ipod! I do very much like having the tunes on while tying. I tie in the same room as my PC so it's always tunes on the computer. As for types of music, that can be all over the scale I listen to just about anything and everything. Lately it is a mix of pretty much just Zeplin and Floyd. Mike
  8. Very neat looking vice indeed!! Was intreeged when you first posted asking about them. Seems to be a really nice and useful vice. Am somewhat thinking of a new vice myself and that may be on the list!! Although have lately really gotten into the rotary feature so most likely will be another rotary for me. Who knows! thanks for the review! Mike

  16. Hey while on the topic of diamond braid anybody have any clue what brand name i may find it under??? I have looked for actual diamond brade in the stores up here in Ontario and the closest I've found is this AXXEL stuff. Works pretty well for me but just wondering if there is some name I sould be looking for??? Thanks mike

  18. Thanks for that link inconnu looks like a neat little pattern!! Gonna defenitely have to tie a few up. I'm addicted to tying with glass beads!!! lol!!! Mike
  19. Just curious what is this all about???? I have heard lots about it but just not sure what to expect. I have thought of going but I will be coming from Canada so it would turn into an expensive trip. Any coments on the show would be great. Thanks Mike
  20. Those are some nice tweezers! Where'd you get em???? I picked up a pair of very small needle nose pliers at the bead shop but they are just straight, they don't have the indentation. Only thing I'm wondering is how big is that indentation??? Will they work with the really small beads???? Mike
  21. Well I finally decided to enter the world of glass beads. On Sunday I decided to take a look at a bead store here in the town I live in, just to see what they had. Well of course I could not come home empty handed! lol!!! Satrted playing around with em last nite and gotta say that they are nice to tie with. A little tough at first, especially in the small sizes. But once you get the hang of it they are quite easy. Here is just a little simple fly that I've tied as a first try. Not much, but hey doesn't always take a super fancy patern to catch fish! Mike
  22. hmmmmmmmmmmmm good question. As per totral invested in tying so far I dont have a clue. However uppon thinking a little more WELLLLLL over 1000$ so far maybe even closer to 2! When I firts started reading this thread I thought these numbers were nuts! Thinking there's no way some one could spend much money on tying! Then I started thinking a little more and realised that it's really not that hard! Even scarier is when I started thinking that just in the last week alone i spent close to 150$ and still have many ebay items to pay for and about another 30 auctions I'm watching end in the next day or 2! :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: And here I thought I wasnt adicted! Mike
  23. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm sounds interesting... I may be in for this also. Not completely sure yet though. I'll let yous know if I am. Mike
