  1. Interesting pattern I've never seen. Thanks for posting.
  2. Well I completed the first of the 3 planned Green Highlanders and only then did I decide to check the fly against the frame to be used in the framing. This is when I found out I was having a DUH moment. The photo will show what I mean. I am rather pleased with the fly, but it is too large for the oval opening in the matting. So...I am starting from square one by going from a 3/0 down to either a 2/0 or 1/0 hook. We shall see. George
  3. Cool combination of ingredients on a well tied fly!!!
  4. Interesting proportions...which is typical of the Mirimachi system. Very nice Norm.
  5. Sweet...and practice is how to get it done!!
  6. Maybe yes and maybe no. Both flies are well done indeed.
  7. Possibly the best thing I've seen of yours Norm...although that Supervisor would give it a run for its money. Well done indeed. Cheers, George
  8. A true classic...and absolutely flawless.
  9. I found a couple of 3 opening shadow box frames recently and thinking a bit I decided to tie the 3 Green Highlander patterns I am aware of with the intention of framing the set. The 3 patterns are the Pryce-Tannatt, Kelson & Maxwell versions. The one in the vise is the P-T version, with Kelson and Maxwell to follow. At my regular pace of work this will probably be complete in about a month or so. We shall see. Anyone else working on a project they'd like to share? I know I'd like to see some. Cheers, George

  17. It doesn't last forever unfortunately. I'd suggest just getting some new wax from John McLain at feathermc.com and starting fresh.
