First Fly Ever... Wooly Worm

Recommended Posts

Nice taper! (the shape from front to back) My only advice would to be to pull all of the fibers back and make a few wraps so all of the fibers are behind the eye. Otherwise you are on your way !!! nice work!

D5 pretty much covered it. Definitely a good choice to start with as it is a fairly easy tie and very effective for a number of species. Keep at it ;)

Great job! Now, keep that fly - frame it or put it away and look at it again when you've been tying for 30 years. It'll give you the warm and fuzzy's thinking about that first fly.

good lookin fly :D i believe its better to tie your own flies because it costs less, its a fun little hobby, and its always satisfying to catch a fish on something you tied ;)
