Still waiting on a set of flies, hoping to hear back again soon. I was going to make an executive decision on when to send out the flies with or without the last set, but I decided that I should try and do this like the government would, so I sent a requisition for a committee to Will so, hopefully sometime in the next few weeks we should have a committee together and then they can discuss what the next step should be. If I get impatient waiting for the committee I might try and find some "performance enhancing substances" to give to a small group of my flies, that should get Congress to contact me... then they will organize a committee. Or maybe...

Alright it is much easier to just say I will ship the flies out on Monday with or without the last set. All the flies are wonderful and will catch lots of fish. Sorry for the dalay, I have not forgotten all of you I am just hoping to get the last set.

So what your saying is that you have become a human hatchery. Glad to see people taking a proactive step for the sport. Im guessing stocking day is going to be a bit disturbing for the little ones when you poop fish in their buckets! lmao

Im glad to be apart of the single weirdest fly swap at FTF.com :headbang:

Good news everyone, the last of the flies have landed. I will sort them shortly and put them in the mail tonight or tomorrow. Everyone prepare to be stimulated.

Alright so here is the scoop. All of the flies went out today, it has been CRAZY around my neck of the woods since last Friday. When I went to the post office the lady behind the desk explained in great detail the difference between a "big envelope" and a "parcel," which by the way she considered every single envelope going out. The bottom line left me frustrated, but everyone should thank Min as the extra cash he sent to get his package back to Canada was enough to make up the difference on every single swap envelope. I have never had that problem before and probably will never have that problem again, but for now thanks Min for getting everyone's flies out.

Will everyone please let me know when your stimulus package has arrived, also if there is someone out there with a macro setting on their digital camera maybe you could post a pic of the completed set. I think everyone will be very pleased with the flies.

Thanks everyone for participating and I hope everything gets there soon.

Fianlly thanks for everyone that sent extra flies, they are not necessary, but greatly appreciated. They will all get fished soon.

The lady at your Post Office is a postal nazi, I have participated in a gang of swaps and never had that problem, the postage to Colorado is the same as the postage from Colorado, furthermore the envelopes are stamped based on weight. I think you need to use a different post office for any of your swaps or this woman will continually hose you.

Well thank you Min for being generous enough to bail us all out of a mess.

I use this post office all the time. I think she thought I was sending personal business stuff out. This was the first time I have been helped by this postal worker, and never again... I almost went postal.:):):)

My flies landed yesterday. Most of them are fantastic, a few..uhhh different. Mostly, I was taken by the smaller sizes everyone decided to tie. The original Kauffmann's Stimulator came in size 12 and bigger, I believe.

Dezod, thanks for adding the extra postage. I asked specifically about the return to my postmaster. I know I gave enough postage to get the envelope back and your Post Office flunkie was wrong. Thank you, it was classy of you to just "handle" it.

Caio,

Yea I chose to tie a smaller version because here in Pa were not know for having hatches of really large stones, but Ive had success with the smaller size and it can imitate a wide variety of bugs and hoppers and I love the stim because of how well it stays afloat.

Went fishing all day and just got home, checked the mail and was stimulated again.

I too got out on the water today and fish through a couple hours of rain til the creeks finally muddied up enough to send me packing. Landed two, lost two but still good to be out.

That is what I like about swap flies how they vary from region to region and from the creativity and inventiveness of each tyer. It would be pretty boring to get 15 Kaufman's design all in 8-12.

I got my flys yesterday as well :headbang: Although I will enjoy all of them, I have to say I was particularily excited about t5f's upside down caddis dropper that he threw in as an extra. This Fly is AWESOME :yahoo: and I can't wait to fish the four I tied up last night. This fly is going to slay them. I fish alot of caddis and I know that this will be an effective pattern. Seems very original too. Id copywrite that fly if I were you T5

I was reall excited about the small imitations as they will serve me well here in PA. Im trying to get up to the upper Delaware in the next few weeks and these will serve me very well.
