boynabubble 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2010 I fish with nymphs most of the time unless the trout are really keying in on a hatch and then I can't resist a dry. Here's my favorite search pattern. I didn't tie the one in the picture. It catches fish like no other. Riverbum.com photo

fishabuoy 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2010 The one that catches fish! Cliche, but true. I'll almost always start with one of my favorite nymphs, Copper Johns , Golden Stones, and Birds Nests. But I won't hesitate to add emergers, terrestrials or go to a Hopper/Copper/dropper if need be. If fishing Salt - mostly for perch/Stripers here in the Bay Area, it's usually a perch attractor led by a Chartreuse/White Clouser. Panfish - Gill Getter ALWAYS goes on the line always, followed by any number of streamers, nymphs,.......etc... hmmmm I guess I really don't have a favorite :lol2:

Guest Report post Posted December 20, 2010 Ever since I tied my first Adams I've been hooked on drys. Plus the fish here seem to like them but I do tie other styles, but the drys are first right now.
