Piker20 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2012 Not the best focus cause it was at the end of my telephoto range and I didn't have the tripod handy.

Piker20 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2013 Is that not a Coal Tit (Periparus ater)? Sorry, feels like we are slating your species list. GREAT photos though what ever they are.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2013 Black capped Chickadee? That's what we call the ones that look like that in Florida. But WOW! Henning ... What are you using to get those photos? Those are Nature book quality! Beautiful pictures of cute little birds.
Piker20 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2013 More important Henning, what do you tie with the feathers?
phg 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2013 Very nice!. That's one we don't have over here, although it does resemble a chickadee a bit. What's your setup? The detail and texture of the feathers is very nice.
Henning Sæbø 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2013 Thanks for feedback :-) I dont know the English name for these birds. (My English kind of suck..... ) But i can tell a lot about the setup etc. There are many tricks for birdphotography. Giving the birds food is one of them, an camo is another. The problem with photos of this, is that tele lenses are extreem expensive....... So i used as following: Nikon D700 FX camera on this ones. Nikkor 70-200 F2.8 VR lens. Meta: F4 (For fast shutter) A ISO 640 1/2000 This foto was taken from a distance at 2 yards. (Thats the trick) Here is a photo with same Camera, but with 105mm Macro lens Just over one yard distance. One more thing. All photos are creased down for web, to 800 pixles.
Piker20 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2013 WOW> Have you tried to catch them as they take off. I managed to catch the blue tit flying once but it was over 4m away and wasn't all that great.
