Chefben4 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2012 (edited) Spent some time this weekend getting ahead of the game for warmwater opener in MI. Im sure these would work on a variety of species so I will be playing around with them a bit in warm/cold water. Fire Tiger Bucktail Baitfish (color variation of Carolina Fly-Thomas Harvey's fly) Collin Carlson's Provo Hooker (a couple different color variations). Used aluminum deep sea eyes on 2 of them and dazl eyes on the other Galloup Heifer Groomer Edited March 26, 2012 by Chefben4

Chefben4 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2012 Nicely done! When the season starts? Dont know if i could wait tho as i be basketcase. MI is a bit strange. A lot of states can Catch and Release fish for most of the year. Our bass season on inland lakes doesn't open till the Saturday before Memorial day. You cant catch and "immediate" release fish for bass until the last weekend in April when inland lake pike season opens. Strange laws..but I assume they are to protect them during the spawn, so I am good with it. However.. I am already a basketcase and may need to hit the river for my "fix"
deeky 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2012 Minnesota seasons run about the same. Walleye, bass, pike, etc. close mid-winter and reopen about the same time as Michigan if I recall. Other than that, panfish is year-round. Nice flies, really like the last one. Deeky
