My all time favorite is:

I've seen a small comic of two guys standing in a stream, one of the guys with an open flybox holding a fly saying to the other guy. It says "Scene from a Few Good Fisherman" and then the tag line is "The TRUDE!?! You can't handle the Trude!".

This isn't really a saying but probably one of the funniest things uttered by someone when we were fishing a few year back. It was late(3am) we were tired from being up for about 30 hours, on the river in pitch darkness and I heard a stick go "SNAP" then I heard some whittling

 

I couldn't see my buddy because of the dark but I said..."what the hell was that?"

 

He said "it's gonna be a bobber....I mean "strike indicator as you fly fisherman call it"

 

 

Like I said it was late and we were tired

heres one. there was a girl from nantuket, oooh no thats not the one, ok , ok, here i is we had been gone since 5 in the mourning. fished all day and broked down in the swamp in late afternoon , darkness set in and nothing to eat or drink. 3am is coming around the next mourning . 500 gazillion mosquitoes having supper like they were at a shonneys buffet. it's so dark i cant see my buddy at the front of the boat and suddenly out of the darkness i hear him say. " i think we might be in trouble " if i could have seen him i think i might have thrown a gas can or something at him, Bud
