thank you all....Bigdaddy....I would have to say the hook gap is probably ok on this...I only tested the workings of the fly, not the catch factor yet...but there is actually about 1/2 inch between the bottom of the prop and the hook....It should be cool, we'll see..I'll let you know....I thought about making it articulated with a separate section for the propeller, but I wanted to try and keep it simple first...Kind of like mini torpedoes.....spin tackle stuff.....

a new fly I have been working on....there is a tungsten bead in the rear to make the back end of the fly hang low in the water, the propeller to move water and the deer hair head to make her float...when stripped it dives just below the surface and makes a smooth wake....

well....thanks guys....I still think I may stick to my deer hair flies instead...but these were fun to try....

So I have never made a foam hard bodied popper before....I am a deer hair nut.....These are my first attempts....Not very pretty, but they will catch fish I'm sure....

Some new streamers I have been working on...Smallies, Walleye, Pike, Tiger Muskie....

I use the plano boxes as well...I cut out all of the dividers with a dremel tool and use double face tape to lay in 1/4 in foam.....top and bottom....bammo....fly boxes for big flies...

Mine arrived today as well...very nice....thanks for a good swap....

I make all of my divers out of stacked deer hair, but foam works as well....divers are great bass getters....
