skeet3t 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2022 Nice and colorful. BTW, how do you turn your grips? Lathe?
Steeldrifter 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2022 John I turn all my grips by hand with nothing more than a power drill & mandrel supported by two uprights of wood on each end. Hell I never even made a stand for the drill so I operate the drill with my left hand and the sandpaper with my right. I actually had a lathe given to me about 10 yrs ago, but I had done it the way I do it now for so long, it just kind of became natural for me to do it this way so I ended up giving the lathe away to a friend. mikechell 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2022 That's a very good looking color. Almost as good as blue.

I agree Mike -- I'm pleased and proud to say that this rod is on its way to me. Green--especially lime green/spring green-- has lately become "my blue" (if you will) -- I just can't seem to get enough of it. I think it kind of symbolizes spring and rebirth and the fresh new fishing season to me.
skeet3t 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2022 You confirmed my suspicions as I never heard you refer to a lathe.
