hook: sz 16 dry

tail: grey microfibets

thread: orange 30d nano silk

body: BWO superfine

wings: perfectly match duck quill slips

hackle: none

No doubt it will spin but it was by far the best one I tied and without my glasses it looks even better

next challenge:  a Hendrickson pattern or lifecycle for extra points.

Gotta get ready for my local hatch and I’d like some ideas.

Thanks Gentlemen. To be clear, as warned, this was a tricky tie.  I started but trying to dub after the wing went, similar to how Charlie and Mike Lawson did did it in their videos.  I soon started dubbing the body before the wing to avoid blowing them up trying to dub around. I'll tie a few more to fish but I'm not sure if I'll pursue perfecting this one, to Niveker's point,  I had to walk away from it a few time to avoid breaking shit.  I have a dozen matched quills and unless the fish are noticeably more interested in these I'll save them for other patterns.

I look forward to Norm's Hendrickson
