LisaLou 0 Report post Posted January 31 Tenkara style fly experimental Firehole 718 size 14 hook Feather Artiste metallic embroidery floss color: Heaven. (Hobby Lobby brand) All six strands of floss twisted tightly and coiled toward head, then reduced down to two strands to tie in feather. Each strand is made up of two threads. Very abrasive and I did not want to attempt whip finish. I felt it would fray itself and did not want to mess it up when I was almost done. I did half hitches. Will experiment with whip finishing. Also should have an underlay of normal thread or glue, as the metallic flosses do not grip the hook very well at all. Love the metallic flosses and enjoy working with the them.
