cphubert 0 Report post Posted March 22 We lost another local tier shop owner and great all-around person that freely shared a lot of tying and fly-fishing experience in the Connecticut Massachusetts area. Dave Goulet was a commercial fly tier, retired shop owner (Classic & Custom Flies) that still had his hand in material pedaling at shows and by appointment A long time fly fisher with a love of the Miramachi and many northeast trout waters, he developed the winter caddis and a few others for the Farmington along with a few salmon patterns. Dave was a mentor to many local talents in the fishing and conservation groups rest in peace my friend, Bette my deepest condolences to you.

niveker 0 Report post Posted March 23 Always sad to hear when a local legend has passed away. I never met the man, but have tied a few of his flies, including the summer/winter caddis and the Moby Dick.
