Jdhill 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2006 Thought I should introduce myself. I just started fly fishing this year and I have only been tying my own flies for 4 days now but I am enjoying it tremendously. Tuesday I caught my first Bass on a fly I tied myself what a rush. I am 32 years old and I live outside of London Ohio. Other than that I Like what I see on this site so far.

letumgo 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2006 Jdhill, I've got bad news for you... Once you've caught your first fish on a fly you tied yourself, you'll be hooked on fly tying/fishing for life.... :j_k: I fondly remember the first trout I caught on a fly I tied. It wasn't very big, but I remember that fish better than other much larger fish I caught later on. I was totally hooked after that first fly caught fish. Welcome to the this site and this sport/hobby/addiction... :j_k: Ray (letumgo)

Chase Creek 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2006 Catching a fish on a fly you've tied is probably the way a lot of us got fired up about tying. Mine was a bluegill who would be about 40 yrs old now. Love Brookies and Browns, but still get a thrill when a 'gill takes my fly. Welcome.
