notenuftoys 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2010 I've been experimenting with tying in rubber legs on Copper Johns and Pheasant Tails. I'll take a few pictures tonight and post them. Rubber legs sure don't make tying any easier!

To me, the main thing that jumps out is your tippet wing is uneven. I think if you could get it tied in even and coax it (Z-bend) so that the bottom edge follows the line of the body it would look much cleaner. Your woody sides would have gone on much better as well, and you wouldn't have that cup. Nice job on the tag and tail and your floss work looks nice and smooth. Lots to be proud of. Have you tied any of the classics? Many recommend working on those at first, as opposed to freestyle, so you'll have a point of reference. Regardless, hope you keep at it. smallieFanatic 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2010 These are for the Pheasant-tail swap. The adams is just there. I have half of them done for the swap! They don't look too bad. However I would make the thorax larger and less thread at the head of the flies.
