Lance Kekel 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2009 Any of the Royal Coachman style flies, whether it's a wulff, a streamer or what ever. I love both tying them and catching fish on them.
mikey99 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2009 Gartside Sparrow. Something about everything (except the dubbing) coming from one Pheasant skin appeals to me. I hear you on that. The Sparrow is an awesome fly to tie, especially the challenge of using wrapping the aftershaft feather in nice and thick. As far as my favorite flies, I have been going through periods where I am addicted to one material or the other. I think the last few months have gone something like this: Foam- beatles, chernobyls, etc Pheasant- Sparrows, Wet Mice Rabbit Strips- Zonkers, Matukas, Lithuanian Bats Now: Tuffleye- Surf Candies, Synthetic Baitfish
