TheCream 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2010 This is the smallest I have ever attempted to go. Can't wait to put these to use when the weather breaks and I can actually trout fish a little. Until then I am stuck tying and fighting off cabin fever! I lashed the #28 fly to a #14 nymph hook in my vice just to add some scale.

David Legg 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2010 That is a very nicely tied fly. Great work! It should be an attention getter on the stream!

I used pearl Flashabou, 1 strand, wrapped for the body. Pretty easy fly, just tricky for me tying it down that small. -pearl Flashabou -white CDC oiler puff upright -black Superfine dubbing

RagingBull 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2011 I really like that pattern. Might have to give it a try, although im thinking it will be on a #22. I dont feel like taking my fly tying mag glass to the stream with me to tie this on to my tippet.
