You got them!? Good to know! My flight got diverted to Samoa because of a hurricane, been here 4 days already! Caught a baby Grouper yesterday from the beach, lucky me

We are waiting on one set, but we are still a week away from the deadline. I will photo the flies I have this weekend and post. Did you catch the grouper on a fly DJG?

Of course I caught it on a fly! Fly-fishing only for me. I was using a simple minnow pattern, intermediate line, probably hooked a foot from the surface in around 5 feet of water. I arrived in Fiji last night & had another fish shred my leader this morning and get away. I also saw a black and white sea skate, which are deadly poisonous, swimming right in front of my fly. Theyre basically like a saltwater snake/fish that live and hang around on both land and sea. Luckily I've been told they are not very aggressive.

OK I was away at a wedding. Had to buy a new computer when I came back. The other one died. The wedding was at Wrightsville Beach, NC. I did some spin fishing and caught blues.Mostly small ones. The were some LARGE ones running.

 

Jburge is running a little late. Not a problem. He communicates really well. He is a true gentleman and I will leave it at that for now. NICE guy, swap anytime.

 

I will get photos out tomorrow. I have a friend who found a baby Barred Owl in the yard next door. They put out a step ladder and a Coca Cola box. Made a nest in the box and put the owlet in. The mother accepted the new nest. I went over and took lots of cool owl shots.

DJG tied some really nice flies for the prize. Jburge sent me a package of flies to send you because he could not tie a sculpin because his materials did not arrive. Well they arrived and he sent sculpins. He wants someone to get them. So we have two prizes. There are some nice flies here. I have been fortunate and have even fished some already. The quicker you vote, the quicker I mail.

Kevin I am open to that if DJG is and the others. Bruce my computer auto formats the large pics to smaller size for anybodies posts. I did not realize it was a problem. Do you want me to resize?

Man those are some nice flies. I would gladly fish any of them I think #8 is a hell of a fly in my opinion.
