Chefben4 0 Report post Posted July 20, 2012 Tied up some clouser variants or as I like to call them "Leggy" Clousers. Basically a traditional clouser with, YEP you guessed it!, rubber legs The bass love em, pike love em, and they are easy to tie. Win Win!

agn54 0 Report post Posted July 21, 2012 Great flies. Those are similar to Panama Red's (The artist formerly known as FlatzFatz) Money Maker, which is a trout killer on the flats. The legs really give it great action

Chefben4 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2012 Thanks everyone! I went out Saturday morning for a few hours before all the crazys came out for the hydroplane races going on. Found out some bad news, the hot and dry weather we have been experiencing in MI raised the temp too high in the lake and we had a big Pike kill. DNR said they collected about 100 pike. In any case, the Bass were not active at all(I suspect because of the heat) so I went for the old standby..Panfish. Caught 20 or so bluegill and sunfish so it was a nice few hours!
