Bead head cap spider

Recommended Posts

Went to tie some cap spiders, and had no jig heads. Did have some bead heads, so used those instead. Think they'll work allright, though. Size 8 with olive chenille.

MidwestFlyfisher, this does look like a cajun tickler, now that you mention it. The cap spiders are tied with a verneille body instead of a woven body. Make them a lot faster to tie, and bluegill chew them up so fast, that is a good thing :D
